MIG 27 crashes again, 5 injured

Jodhpur, May 15: Yet another MIG crash is reported from Jodhpur on Friday, May 15 morning. Defence sources said that an Indian Air Force MIG 27 fighter plane crashed at Konkani village, 25 km from Jodhpur of Rajasthan.

Five villagers reportedly sustained serious burn injuries at the crash site. The pilot had a narrow escape after he managed to eject safely. The IAF aircraft was on a routine training mission when the mishap occurred at around 0800 hrs IST due to a technical snag.

The injured are hospitalised.
