Kolkata, May 10: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Sunday, May 10 said the Left parties were not running after any individual leader or any particular party to form an alternative government at the Centre.

Addressing an election rally in the South Kolkata Lok Sabha constituency, which is held by Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, Bhattacharjee said, "We are very busy nowadays to chalk out the functions and strategies with the secular parties. We are trying to make those parties together."

"The political parities, to whom we know, we tell them, come and form a government that will take effective measure to eradicate poverty and unemployment in the country, which the Congress Governments could not do it," he added.

Bhattacharjee also appealed to the people to vote for Left Front candidates.
