New Delhi, May 9: Congress sacked Veerappa Moily as its media chairman after he made strong remarks against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar has emerged as a polical most wanted with all parties including Congress wanting to call him an ally. Even though Congress maintains that Moily was sacked because 'the party High Command is unhappy with his stand on some critical issues', it seems to be more convincing to attribut the act to Moily's comment on Nitish.

In an attempt to bring back the estranged allies, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan who were angry over AICC's general secretary Rahul Gandhi's overtures to Nitish, their rival in the state, Moily on Friday, May 8 said that Congress would not make a hero of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

He also alleged that JD(U) chief was mixing communal and secular agenda. He further said Nitish 'thinks too much of himself and will regret staying with BJP. We are not reaching out to him'

Janardhan Dwivedi, AICC General Secretary, in-charge of organisation, has reportedly taken over the media department.
