Kolkata, May 7: Trinamool Congress (TC) chief, Mamata Banerjee has clarified that Rahul Gandhi's comment on Congress' openness to form post-poll alliance with the Left has not bruise the alliance between TC and Congress.

"The TC-Congress alliance is intact and there is no adverse impact on the alliance by Rahul Gandhi's comments. There is no confusion on the alliance", Mamata said on Wednesday, May 6.

However, she accused the Communist Party-Marxist (CPM) of trying to 'malign' the TC-Congress alliance and asked the people of West Bengal not to be misled by 'this propaganda'.

Earlier, there were reports that Mamata Banerjee had threatened to leave Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) if there was an alliance between Congress and CPM formed.
