Jet Airways launches new low-cost Jet Konnect

New Delhi, May 7: Jet Airways, one of the leading private airline service in India announced its decision to launch a new low cost service 'Jet Konnect' from May 8 on select routes to cater to the needs of travellers opting for low fares.

The new Jet Airways Konnect will be a no-frill service with six dedicated aircrafts in sectors like Chennai-Coimbtore, Chennai-Madurai, Chennai-Kochi, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Bhopal, Mumbai-Udaipur, Bengaluru-Pune and Bengaluru-Mangalore circuit. The fares are expected to be 10-15 pc lower than Jet's economy class.

The flight number for this service will be unique so as to help the travellers and the travel agents identify the class of service. This means that the travellers will have to buy their meals on board while the on ground and in-flight services will be delivered by the Jet Airways staff.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 86 aircrafts and connects 63 destinations including some key cities abroad.
