21 killed, nine injured as bus falls into Chenab river in Jammu

Jammu, May 4 (ANI): Twenty one people were killed and nine injured when a mini bus lost its balance and fell into the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar District on Monday morning.

The bus was traveling from Kishtwar to Palmar and reportedly met with an accident at 8:30 a.m.

Police said that the Army divers launched a rescue operation and a total of 21 bodies have been recovered.

According to sources, out of the nine injured, four are in a critical position and have been admitted in the Government Medical College Hospital here. (ANI)
