'Sonia responsible for Tamils death in Sri Lanka'

New Delhi, Apr 30: A pro-LTTE website Tamil Puthinam, blamed Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the death of Tamil civilians in Sri Lanka. In a recent article, the website linked with LTTE's political wing said that Sonia was trying to avenge the death of her husband Rajiv Gandhi and that she wouldn't rest in peace 'till the last nail is hammered in Prabhakaran's coffin'.

The site even went to the extent saying that the Sri Lanka was waging war against Tamilians in the country at the behest of India. It termed Colombo a puppet in the hands of India.

The site concluded that not Sri Lanka, but India was the real enemy of Tamils. Earlier another pro-LTTE site Nitharsanam had carried a caricature of Sonia in which she was portrayed as a blood-thirsty goddess. It seems Sonia Gandhi is singularly targeted by the pro-LTTE media in Sri Lanka.
