New Delhi, Apr 25: Left snubbed the Congress' approach for post-poll 'secular' alliance along with opposing the Manmohan's continuation as Prime Minister, calling it non-negotiable.

Prakash Karat, on Friday, Apr 24 also added that it will not only oppose Singh becoming the next PM but also vowed to oppose anyone from Congress becoming the next Prime Minister. He said that this decision was based on differences of policy issues.

He said "Congress is Congress. It will not change. It is not going to change. The continuance of strategic partnerships with Israel and the US is a proof of that."

He suggested that Left will form alliance with the of the third front as he appealed to the 'secular parties' in UPA and NDA such as the JD(U) to help in formation of a non-congress led government that will be truly secular.
