Probe into Aakrit's Death, school shut for 2 days

New Delhi, Apr 24: The Modern School, Delhi that is caught amid the anger of the parents and students, and the probes that have been ordered over the death of Aakriti Bhatia has been closed for two days.

The management that took the decision to shut the school for two days, has said that it was forced to take this decision at the request of parents and local authorities.

An inquiry committee appointed by the Delhi government will investigate into the death of the student and check of the school has proper medical facilities.

"We will examine whether the school had the basic minimum medical infrastructure," an official part of the inquiry committee said.

Women and Child Welfare Minister Renuka Choudhary has said that parents should share medical history of their children with the schools, so that medical emergencies at schools can be properly attended to.

The Delhi Government on Thursday, Apr 23 ordered a probe into the death of a student on that was attributed to the 'negligence' of the school authorities.
