Baramati, Apr 23: The Nationalist Congress Party chief, Sharad Pawar has expressed the desire to bring Samajwadi Party (SP), Rashtriya Janata Dal, and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) party under the 'umbrella of UPA'. He pointed out that Left was an integral part of UPA and will be.

Pawar, on Thursday said that Left's co-operation and blessings are required for UPA to function. He said, "They have been supporting us. The credit goes to the Left also that we were able to give the country a stable government. The Left is the only section which will never support a communal outfit," talking to the reporters after he had cast his vote.

Pawar said that he will hold talks with leaders of SP, LJP and RJD to win their support for UPA. And only after all the parties come together the PM candidate can be decided upon and Congress projecting Manmohan Singh as the PM candidate for UPA would not only be premature but also unfair on the allies.

While talking about the Maharastra government he said that he is confident that Congress-NCP-RPI alliance would win the majority of 48 Lok Sabha seats.
