Prabhakaran is my friend: Karunanidhi

Chennai, Apr 19: M Karunanidhi, the Tamil Nadu chief minister said in an exclusive NDTV interview that LTTE supremo V Prabhakaran is not a terrorist and he will have 'deep regrets' if the Tiger chief is killed during the Sri Lankan military operations.

“Prabhakaran is my friend and I"m not a terrorist," NDTV quoted the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister of telling the channel in an exclusive interview. TN CM added that the LTTE has genuine goals, but use wrong methods to pursue them. He said “some in the LTTE maybe involved in terror."

Earlier it was the same Karunanidhi who criticised Prabhakaran and said that he was 'sick of Tigers war' and that the sympathy towards that movement was reducing slowly and will vanish fully at one point.
