Give it up for the latest fad: Meggings!

Melbourne, Apr 19 (ANI): Love them or hate them - male leggings a.k.a "meggings" are here to get you noticed.

Although some style gurus believe that the stylish clothing should have been left in the 14th century "meggings" have made a comeback in true style.

The modern-day version is brighter and more revealing.

Former Brisbane label Limedrop, now based in Melbourne, has found a strong market for its meggings through its website and in boutiques such as La Petite on the Gold Coast.

"They're actually one of our biggest sellers," The Courier Mail quoted designer Nathan Price, as saying.

Fashion-conscious young men were teaming the 99-dollar leggings with oversized tees or button-up shirts, Price said.

A sass and bide spokeswoman said their Brisbane store had been kept busy with young men trying on the ladies' leggings.

"It's probably 18 to 25-year-olds; so quite young, very trendy people," the spokeswoman said.

"It's taking the skinny jean to the next level for the guy," the rep added. (ANI)
