India successfully tests Nuclear Capable Missile

Balasore, Apr 15: According to defence sources, India has successfully test fired nuclear capable missile Prithvi II , on Wednesday, Apr 15 from a test region in Orissa.

The missile was reportedly tested from the Integrated Test Range of Chandipur, Balasore district at 10.21 AM. This surface to surface has a range of about 350 km.

Prithvi is capable of carrying a payload of between 500 kg and one tonne which includes nuclear weapons. It was developed under India's Integrated Missile Development Programme and is the first indigenous built ballistic missile.
