TCS UK cuts headcount by 10 pc

Bangalore, Apr 10: Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) reportedly slashed its headcount by 10 per cent at its United Kingdom office as part of its cost cutting drive. TCS reduced its head count in UK to 4,500. The company has pulled back sales and admin staff from delivery centers and customer offices in the UK to fill other posts in India.

TCS has around 5,000 people working at more than 50 locations in Britain, with a further 750 plus staff at its site in Peterborough. The company also recently bagged a $54.7 million IT deal from UK based Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission.
