Ansari to visit Kuwait for reviving energy sector

New Delhi, Apr 4: The Vice President of India, Mohammad Hamid Ansari begins his three-day visit to Kuwait today, to discuss about a variety of topics with the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al Jaber Al Sabah.

The purpose of the visit is to primarily strengthen the cooperation in the energy sector, along with the talks over other issues like the welfare of the Indian community in Kuwait and fostering better economic partnership.

This will be the first high-level contact between the two nations after the one in 2006. Earlier, the Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs N Ravi said Kuwati Ministers for Defence, External Affairs and Finance would call on the Vice President to hold discussions on further expanding and diversifying relations between the two countries.
