Fernandes not to contest as an Independent

Patna, Apr 1: George Fernandes, Lok Sabha member representing the Muzaffarpur constituency of Bihar refused to contest as an Independent this Lok Sabha elections.

After Janata Dal (United) refused him nomination, he doesn't seem to be sure of which party would provide him a ticket.

Earlier JD(U) leaders, like Sharad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar denied him a ticket stating that he was physically unfit to contest. Fernandes refuted this statement saying 'they are lying'.
