Punjab: Politican father rapes daughter for 8 yrs

Amristar, Mar 26: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was arrested by the Punjab police after his 20-year-old daughter accused him of sexually exploiting her for over 8 years. Ashok Taneja, the BJP general secretary of Ajnala unit was arrested following his daughter's complaint.

Police sources said that a case of rape is registered against the BJP leader. Ashok Taneja threatened to kill his daughter if she told anyone about his activities. Investigation is on and police is also probing whether sexual exploitation happened with the knowledge of any other family members specially girl's mother.

Last week Mumbai police arrested a businessman father who allegedly raped his two daughters for over 9 years after a 'tantric' advised him to do so to become 'rich' soon.
