Sonia to launch poll campaign from Karnataka today

Bangalore, Mar 23 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi will launch her party's campaign for the Lok Sabha elections from Davangere in Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Karnataka today.

The launch of the campaign from Karnataka is seen significant as Karnataka was once seen as a Congress stronghold and where the BJP is considered to have made inroads.

Karnataka has slipped out of its grip with BJP capturing power in the state through the Assembly elections last year.

The party will release its election manifesto on March 26. (ANI)
