Mohan Bhagwat takes over as RSS chief

New Delhi, Mar 21: Mohan Bhagwat is the new Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) chief. Bhagwat took over K Sudarshan, who announced his retirement on Saturday, Mar 21. The transition took place at the annual general meeting in Nagpur.

The powerful post of General Secretary is seeing two competitors, Bhaiya Joshi and Suresh Soni.

Mohan is seen as a good leader, who was until yesterday. Sangh leaders say the RSS will be seen in its true form under him.

Mohan known for taking a pragmatic approach on contemporary issues.
