Mercedes Benz unveils M-Class in B'lore

Bangalore, Mar 20: The new Mercedes Benz M-Class was launched in Bangalore on Thursday, Mar 19. The new M-Class is available in two engine choices: ML 320 CDI (featuring high-torque diesel V6 engine) and priced at Rs 54-55 lakh ex-showroom Bangalore.

The ML 350 (powered by high output gasoline V6 engine) is priced at Rs 54 lakh ex-showroom Bangalore.

Briefing reporters, Managing Director & CEO Wilfried Aulbur said the fully imported cars are being offered at the same price as company"s previous vehicle. “We have maintained the same price despite significant enhancements of equipment, features and performance," he added stating safety on road was its main USP.

Stating the cars would be available customers in colours of their choice, he said it would take five to six months to deliver a car that is personalised with customer"s preferences.

According to Sundaram Motors Executive Director Sharath Vijayraghavan they hope to sell around 200 to 225 new M-Class in Karnataka by end of June 2009.
