Uma Bharti to campaign for LK Advani

New Delhi, Mar 19: Declaring her absolute support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the coming elections, Bharatiya Janashakti Party leader Uma Bharti on Wednesday, Mar 18 said she would campaign for the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, L K Advani, in the interest of the country.

Addressing a press conference here, Bharti said it would be her good fortune if she could help Advani achieve even a single vote.

I can do anything for the country, I am happy campaigning for Advaniji. I have formed my party for the country, which is functioning properly...I am neither joining BJP, nor do I need a seat. I am not even merging my party," said Bharti.

Bharti revealed that she would not contest in the elections this time because her party 'does not have adequate funds'.

Bharti, a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, had sent a letter to Advani on Tuesday, Mar 18 that said she would be 'happy to see Advani in the Prime Minister's chair.'
