Hyderabad, Mar 17: After scandal it is attrition problem for ailing Satyam computers. In just one month about 3,500 employees have quit the firm. Satyam which recently initiated a bidding process to select a strategic investor, had 47,570 employees in employee address book on Jan 9, two days after Ramalinga Raju had admitted to his fraud. However, on Monday, Mar 16 employee numbers slipped to 44,130.

Reports suggest that though in the initial stage as soon as the scam was uncovered, employees had to suffer consequences like salary cuts and job loss, but the situation has improved considerably now. A hike of about 20-30 pc is in the offing. Experts do not consider this attrition rate as worrisome unless the people were involved in important projects.
