Depp named 'most overdue star for Oscar win'
London, Mar 11 (ANI): American actor Johnny Depp has come out tops for a Best Actor Oscar in a new online survey, to find out, which star is most overdue an Academy Awards win.
After Kate Winslet's 2009 Best Actress win, website GoldDerby.com has asked readers to pick the star most deserving of an Oscar win after losing out as a nominee, reports the Daily Express.
And three-time loser Depp leads the race with 43 per cent of the vote - well ahead of Leonardo DiCaprio, who picked up 18 per cent.
Jeff Bridges, Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr., Ralph Fiennes, Ed Harris and Brad Pitt are also in with a fighting chance, picking up anything from four to six per cent of the vote.
Both Depp and DiCaprio are strong early picks for 2009/2010 Oscar nominations. (ANI)
