Jackson to star in film adaptation of 'Rape: A Love Story'

Washington, March 3 (ANI): American actor Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to star in the big-screen adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates' 2003 book, Rape: A Love Story.

He will be acting alongside Abigail Breslin and Maria Bello in the movie.

The film will feature him as a sympathetic cop who offers comfort to Breslin's character and her mother, played by Bello, as her character recovers from a brutal gang rape.

A Daily Variety report suggests that the film will be directed by Harold Becker.

According to Contactmusic, filming for the moview is scheduled to begin in June.

Apart from this film, Jackson also signed a nine-movie deal with comic book giants Marvel Entertainment last week. (ANI)
