Don't bring politics into cinema: Rajnikanth

Bangalore, Mar 3: Tamil superstar Rajnikanth urged politicians not to create divisions between artists of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. He called upon the politicians not to mix art and politics.

"Please don't divide us and don't bring politics into cinema," Rajnikanth said. He was speaking after felicitating the dons of the Kannada film industry during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Kannada film industry at Palace Grounds on Monday, Mar 2.

Rajnikant stressed that filmmakers should try to adapt literary work on screen. The Tamil superstar expressed his desire to work in a Kannada film. "I want to act in Dalawayi Muddanna. It suits my character. I love that character. I don't know when I will be able to do it. I don't know when God wills,'' said Rajnikant.
