JKLF chief's kin strangled to death

Srinagar, Feb 24: Violent protests erupted on Tuesday, Feb 24 in the city of Srinagar after the police recovered the body of Shabir Ahmad Shiekh's body from Parimpora area. Shabir is a relative of Jammu Kasmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader Yasin Malik. Police officials said that Shabir an auto driver by profession did not return home last night and was strangled to death.

When news reached the Maisuma area, from where Shabir hails from people gathered and started raising slogans demanding the arrest of culprits forcing a shut down.
