Congress to field Neelam Katara in LS polls?

New Delhi, Feb 24: Neelam Katara, the iron lady who fought for justice of her allegedly murdered son Nitish Katara is all set to plunge into politics. Speculations are high that Congress party is planning to field Neelam from New Delhi constituency in upcoming Lok Sabha Polls, after she met Congress poll-in charge of Delhi Mukul Wasnik on Tuesday, Feb 24 and CM, Sheila Dikshit.

Neelam had earlier stated that she will not shy away from the joining politics,, if given a chance. In June 2008, DP Yadav's son Vikas and his cousin Vishal Yadav were awarded life sentence for killing Nitish Katara, an MBA graduate and son of Neelam Katara. The two convicts killed Nitish as they were against their sister Bharti Yadav"s intimacy with him.

Neelam had appealed the Delhi High Court to enhance the punishment from lifer to death sentence.
