Protest turns violent in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 23 (ANI): A number of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and civilians were injured in a clash on Monday when protesters pelted stones on security personnel here.

Protesters alleged that they were protesting against the ransacking of shops and residential buildings by the CRPF personnel.

Police used batons and fired tear smoke canisters at the protesters who kept on regrouping from lanes and bylanes in the area.

Several people, including civilians and security persons, were injured in the clash. (ANI)
