'Karnataka needs anti-conversation law'

Bangalore, Feb 17: Karnataka has been a hub for conversion of hindus into Christians from a long time. In an interview with online portal 'Organiser', S Suresh Kumar, Minister of State for Law, Justice and Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development spoke about Karnataka's plan to introduce 'Anti-Conversion Law" to protect hindus from conversion and the controversial Mangalore pub attack.

Speaking about the 'Anti-Conversion Law", the Minister said that Karnataka requires such a law and the state government is making all out efforts to initiate it. Reacting to the Mangalore pub attacks, he opined that 'there is nothing wrong in moral policing', but the violent attacks by Sri Rama Sena activists are condemnable. He said that Sena activists should have recorded the unlawful activities of the pub and lodged a complaint with the police or registered a protest or brought pressure on the government to cancel pub licence.
