F-16 aircraft crash averted during Aero India 2009
Bangalore, Feb. 15 (ANI): A great panic swept through the Yelhanka air base during Aero India Show 2009 when the tyre of American superlative combat F-16 aircraft burst while landing.
The F-16 aircraft bearing number IN3016 had touched down when the startling incident took place.
However, no major casualty was caused by this mishap, often witnessed in the aviation scenario, particularly by the combat aircraft.
It was the same aircraft in which Indian Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra had 'flown' on Thursday.
The lightweight jet fighter F-16, which is equipped with many advanced features, has been one of the major attractions during Asia's largest air show, at the five-day Aero India 2009. (ANI)
