Cruise returns to 'Days Of Thunder' racetrack for NASCAR event this weekend

Washington, February 14 (ANI): Hollywood star Tom Cruise will be back to the racetrack where he filmed the flick 'Days Of Thunder', when he attends a NASCAR event on Sunday.

The 'Mission Impossible' star is expected to be in the pace car at the start of the Daytona 500 race in Florida.

He recently revealed that he once got the chance to race around the track while filming 'Days of Thunder' in the late 1980s.

"My personal Daytona was getting up close to 200 miles per hour (and) personally driving around the track one afternoon. Having that opportunity to drive those cars on the track and meet those drivers... I loved it," Contacmusic quoted him as saying.

The online report further revealed that the event will also give Cruise a chance to meet his ex-wife Nicole Kidman's husband Keith Urban, as the country musician will give a performance before the NASCAR drama begins. (ANI)
