Collecting typewriters is Tom Hanks' secret hobby

Washington, Feb 14 (ANI): Tom Hanks is obsessed with collecting typewriters, so much so, that sometimes the actor ends up paying a fortune to ship them from all corners of the world.

The multiple-Oscar-winning actor boasts a haul of more than 100 manual, portable typewriters.

"(I collect them) from the 1930s until they stopped making them," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

But, at times, his hobby comes at a humongous price.

"I bought a $5 typewriter from Australia that cost me $85 to ship," he said. (ANI)
