Terrorism in Pakistan, a direct threat, says Mukherjee

New Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, on Friday, said that terrorism in Pakistan poses a direct threat to India and global peace.

Addressing Parliament after Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav had presented his sixth railway budget, Mukherjee said, "We made it clear to Pakistan that terror from its soil is a direct threat to India."

He also maintained that the government would not rest until the terrorists behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks are brought to justice.

Mukherjee dismissed Pakistan's initial evasive response to the Mumbai attacks and said that the primary onus of 26/11 responsibility lies with Pakistan.

Welcoming Pakistan Government's admission that some part of the Mumbai attack conspiracy had been hatched on Pakistani soil, Mukherjee, on February 12, had said that India would use all means at its disposal to end terror coming from Pakistan.

He had further said, "It remains India's goal to bring the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks on Mumbai to book, and to follow this process through to the end. We would also expect that Pakistan takes credible steps to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism in Pakistan."(ANI)
