Mulayam accuses UP Governor of being lenient with BSP

Lucknow, Feb 10 (ANI): Samajwadi Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has criticised Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeshwar for being lenient with the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and added that he is trying to help the Congress in the coming by-polls.

After the Samajwadi Party disrupted Rajeshwar's opening address in the Uttar Pradesh budget session on Tuesday, Yadav asserted that the Governor has assured the Congress high command that the BSP was in for major gains in the coming elections and it would ensure that a Congress Prime Minister assumes office after the Lok Sabha polls."

Referring to the alleged murder of Public Works Department engineer under the behest of BSP legislator Shekhar Tiwari, the Samajwadi Party leader accused the Governor of a casual attitude in dealing with the atrocities of BSP ministers and the police.

He also attacked the Bahujan Samaj Party for grabbing precious land in Lucknow.

The 2009-10 budget Uttar Pradesh session had to be adjourned today due to a violent protest by Samajwadi Party legislators. (ANI)
