Kashmir police arrest self-styled chief commander of Hizbul Mujahideen

Srinagar, Feb 10 (ANI): Police arrested Muzaffar Ahmad Dar alias 'Gaznavi', a top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit, in a raid at Saderbal near Kashmir University in Srinagar.

"Muzaffar was an important commander of the outfit who had links with top leaders of the Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He had involvement in many activities in the Kashmir valley," said B. Srinivas, Inspector General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir.

Hizbul Mujahideen, an active militant group in Kashmir for almost two decades, receives support from Pakistan, which wants Kashmir to become part of Pakistan. ANI)
