Two people killed by Manoj Tiwari's convoy
Lucknow, Feb 7: Two people were killed by a car on Friday, Feb 6 night that was part of the convoy of the Bhojpuri actor-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district, police said on Saturday, Feb 7.
"We have registered a case against Manoj Tiwari following the incident that took place in Gorakhpur on Friday night," Deputy Superintendent of Police S Ali said.
The victims are identified as Arjun and Raj Kumar from Unwal village in Gorakhpur.
"We have initiated an inquiry into the case. Action would be taken only after the inquiry is completed," Ali said.
Tiwari is the Samajwadi Party nominee for the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat. Reacting to the incident, Tiwari said, " This is a political conspiracy."
