Ingersoll-Rand to cut its production

Mumbai, Feb 2: Ingersoll-Rand (India), Construction and mining machinery maker on Monday, Feb 2 announced its plan to curtail its production activity at the Ahmedabad factory in order to tide over the reduction in customer orders.

The company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that the board at its meeting held on Thursday, Jan 29 had decided to curtail the production activity.

Further, it has authorised the Managing Director to suitably reduce the number of working days in each month as is commensurate to meet the level of reduced orders.
