BJP's Kalyan Singh to join SP?
Lucknow, Jan 19: Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party chief on Monday, Jan 18 said that 'all options are open' for SP in the coming Lok Sabha elections. When asked about a possible alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party's controversial leader Kalyan Singh, Mulayam said, "I cannot say anything about Kalyan Singh, he is a very senior leader. If Kalyan Singh's son Rajbir Singh wants to contest polls on an SP ticket, we will support him."
Reports suggest that the Kalyan Singh on Sunday, Jan 18 met Mulayam and discussed with him at an undisclosed location in East Delhi. SP General Secretary Amar Singh was also present at the meeting. Kalyan has been openly criticising BJP for its policies and also supported former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat openly. Meanwhile BJP sources says that the meeting could be the result of possible disciplinary action against Kalyan.
