Will Somdev make it today?

Chennai, Jan 11: Will he create history? This is the question which is in the mind of scores of tennis lovers.Somdev Devvarman entered the final of the 450,000 dollars ATP Chennai Open tennis tournament here on Saturday, Jan 10 without hitting a ball.

He will take on third seeded Marin Cilic, who on Saturday, Jan 10 outclassed Marcel Granollers (Germany) 6-4, 6-3. Wild card entry Devvarman''s scheduled semi-final opponent, fifth seeded Rainer Schuettler of Germany, withdrew citing a wrist injury.

Devvarman is the first Indian to reach the final of the ATP Chennai Open. Somdev is also the only second Indian player in recent times to make the final of an ATP Tour event. We wish you all the best Somdev.
