Raju brothers arrested for forgery, fraud

New Delhi, Jan 10: Ramalinga Raju, the man behind Satyam fiasco and his brother, Ramaraju were arrested on Friday, Jan 9 night. Notices were issued to the brothers at 8.30 pm after which the brothers surrendered.

"Police questioned the two for more than three hours," said Raju's lawyer Bharat Kumar on Saturday, Jan 10 morning.

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Branch have booked them under Section 120 b (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating), 406, 467 and 427 (criminal breach of trust, forgery and using forged documents as genuine), said Bharat Kumar.

Bail applications will be filled in appropriate court.

Meanwhile, a team of doctors examined Raju when he compalined of uneasiness.
