Treat for Christmas, Ghajini released
Mumbai Dec 25: The much talked movie of the year Ghajini will give a treat to holiday makers all over India on Christmas Day. The Madras High Court lifted the stay on the film's release with an interim order after the film's makers offered to pay guarantee money to the court, on Wednesday, Dec 24.
Ghajini producers will pay Rs 5 crore in assurance to the Madras High Court. Earlier the producer of Tamil version of the movie, A Chandreshekhar, had asked for a stay on Ghajini's release, stating that forged documents were used to get the copyright.
The next hearing of the case will be heard on Jan 6, 2009. All over India around 800 paid preview shows were sold out across major multiplexes.“We have 600 paid previews across all our theatres," says AVP Cinema Programming, Fun Cinemas Bhumika Tiwari. Around 1500 prints of Ghajini will hit worldwide. Perfectionist Amir Khan will rock as usual.
