Terrorists have to pay for their barbarism: Sonia
Kochi, Dec 16: Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi has lashed out at the Mumbai attackers by saying that they have to pay a price for their barbarism. "There is a price to be paid for these barbaric attacks. Let nobody take us for granted and, let nobody underestimate our resolve to defeat these diabolic designs of these forces," said Sonia at a Congress rally here on Monday, Dec 16.
This was Sonia's first public meeting after the party's success in Assembly polls in three states. She paid tributes to the slain National Security Guard (NSG) commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and other Security Force personnel who laid their lives fighting Mumbai attackers on Nov26. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a valiant son of Kerala and a valiant son of Mother India will be remembered by a grateful nation for generations to come," she said.
Defence Minister A K Antony, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy and a host of Congress leaders were present on the occasion.
