Mumbai: Railway police constable fights terrorists
Mumbai, Dec 4: An Indian Railways police constable has revealed how he took on heavily armed militants with an old 303 rifle at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal (CST) railway station here on November 26.
Jillu Yadav, the constable of Railway Protection Force (RPF), described his ordeal of the day of the assault. "When I saw the militants loading their carbine, I thought it was a better time to attack them, but I did not have a weapon with me. I called the personnel with rifle, he did not hear me. I then went to him, took his rifle and fired," said Yadav.
Last week's attacks on various places in Mumbai have left nearly 200 dead and around 300 wounded.
Mumbai was last hit by serial bomb blasts in 1993 that killed at least 260 people.
