BSE Sensex slips in to red at 8679.47 points

Mumbai, Dec 3: At 10:30 am, Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex was at 8679.47, down 59.77 points or 0.68 per cent. The 30-share index touched an intra-day high of 8854.81 and an intra-day low of 8675.56. Nifty, the National Stock Exchange's fifty share index was at 2632.70, down 0.94 per cent or 25.10 points. The broader index saw a high of 2693.65 and a low of 2626.90 in trade so far.

BSE Midcap Index was up 0.57 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index inched 0.39 per cent higher. The top gainers were Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Sterlite Industries, Jaiprakash Associates and Larsen & Toubro (L&T).Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, TCS and Infosys Technologies were the top Sensex losers.
