Tension prevails in MP town after eve-teasing
Dhar, MP, Nov 30 (UNI) Tension prevailed and markets were closed after two shops were set on fire today, following an eve-teasing incident at this district's Kukshi town, police said.
An agitated crowd beat up a shopkeeper for eve-teasing a woman standing at a bus stand and handed him over to the police.
The frenzied crowd, meanwhile pelted stones on the police station and on one another and set fire on the accused's shop. Later, markets were closed. As a precautionary measure, additional police force was deployed and the situation was said to be under control.
Police and administrative officers rushed to the spot.
