Tension prevails in Kukshi after eve-teasing

Dhar, Nov 30: Tension prevailed and markets were closed after two shops were set on fire on Sunday, Nov 30 following an eve-teasing incident at this district's Kukshi town, police said.

An agitated crowd beaten up a shopkeeper for eve-teasing a woman standing at bus stand and handed him over to the police.

Meanwhile, frenzied crowd pelted stones on the police station and set fire on the accused's shop and one another. Later, markets were closed. As a precautionary measure, additional police force was deployed and the situation was said to be in control.

Police and administrative officers rushed to the spot.
