Police pick up Govt employee in connection with Mumbai terror attack

Jammu, Nov 30 (UNI) Police have picked up a state government employee in Doda district for questioning in connection with the recent Mumbai terrorist strike, official sources said.

Shauqat, a junior assistant in the Municipal Committee of Doda, was picked up yesterday after the security agencies intercepted his conversation with one suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant ''asking him to watch television and see what was happening in Mumbai''.

''He had also received another call asking for information about the welfare of a relative in Mumbai,'' sources said.

Shauqat was detained by the police for investigation, sources added.
