LeT behind the terror attack on Mumbai: JCP
Mumbai, Nov 30 (UNI) Terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the terror attack in the city and the terrorists were from the hard core group, said Joint Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria.
Addresing a press conference here, Mr Maria said the arrested terrorist Ajmal Kasab, during interrogation, revealed that he had received training in Pakistan and had studied up to fourth standard.
Police have recoverd fake college identity cards and huge arms and ammunition from him.
According to the information given by Kasab, all the terrorists entered the city through costal channels using high-speed boats on the night November 26.
While police has sized ten hand granades from each terrorist and ten AK -47 rifles during the search operations, Mr Maria said so far investigations have revealed no involement of the local groups but the terrorists had a well laid plan besides other targets which are under investigation.
