Valuables and jewellery worth lakh of rupees looted

Darbhanga, Nov 29(UNI) Robbers barged into two houses and looted cash and jewellery worth lakh of rupees at Thalwara village in the district during wee hours today.

Deputy police superintendent Dillip Kumar Mishra said about fifteen dacoits raided the house of one Ramdeo Ojha and looted the cash and jewellery at gun point before escaping with the booties.

Later, they also entered the nearby residence of Bijay Kumar Mishra and looted cash and other valuable articles.

The dacoits swiftly retreated from the spot when the victims screamed for help, he said.

Raids were being carried out to nab the robbers and recover the looted cash and jewellery from them, he added.
