Shia leader condemns terror attacks on Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) Safdar H Karmali, president of Khoja Shia Asna Shari Jamaat, today condemned the worst ever terrorist attacks on the city and expressed condolence to the people, who lost their dear ones in the attacks.

In a statement issued here, Mr Karmali also praised the gallent efforts of the securitymen and policemen, who bravely fought the terrorists.

''It is the worst ever terror strike on Mumbai and needs to be condemned. What the militants did was an act of cowardice,'' he said.

He also condoled the death of policemen, including Anti-terrorism Squad chief Hemant Karkare, and National Security Guards (NSG) commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
